    In 2012, the UoI Lifelong Learning Center received an award for excellence for its Leonardo mobility projects by the Greek National Agency for Lifelong Learning Programme (LLP). The award was given during the LLP Greek National Agency Conference “Leonardo Da Vinci: Promoting a society of equal access opportunities to the labour market”, Athens, 30/11/2012

    The UoI Lifelong Learning Center Leonardo project “Connecting Theory with Practice: European Mobility of University Graduates for Training Purposes” (2013-2014) was invited as a good practice project to the European Commission Conference "European Monitoring Conference–Work Based Learning and Apprenticeships", Brussels, 11-12/2/2014.

The University of Ioannina (UoI) Center of Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning implements continuing education programs in a wide range of subjects.
It offers online, face-to-face or hybrid programs.
Some of its programs are open, providing free audit to anyone interested.
It also implements free of charge training seminars specifically for students and staff members of the Univesity of Ioannina.
President of the UoI Center of Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning is Prof. Xenofon Bitsikas, UoI Vice Rector.
Director of the UoI Center of Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning is UoI Prof. Anastasios Mikropoulos. 

The UoI Center of Conitnuing Education and Lifelong Learning is housed at the International Center of Hellenic Education-Culture and Vocational Training in a modern, purpose-built complex funded by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation.

 All the projects implemented at the Center of Conitnuing Education and Lifelong Learning are financially managed by the UoI Research Committee.
