Since 2003 the UoI Lifelong Learning Center has focused on the internationalization of its activities and incorporated transnational mobility actions in its action agenda. From 2003 to 2014 it coordinated 5 Leonardo Da Vinci mobility projects, under which 94 university graduates participated in training schemes in 40 receiving organisations in 13 EU countries.

Distinctions

• 2014: Good practice by the European Commission: The 5^th Leonardo project was invited as a good practice project to the European Commission Conference "European Monitoring Conference–Work Based Learning and Apprenticeships", Brussels, 11-12/2/2014.
• 2012: Leonardo Award: UoI Lifelong Learning Center: In 2012, the UoI Lifelong Learning Center received an award for excellence for its Leonardo mobility projects by the Greek National Agency for Lifelong Learning Programme (LLP)/Leonardo da Vinci. The award was given during the LLP Greek National Agency Conference " Leonardo Da Vinci: Promoting a society of equal access opportunities to the labour market", Athens, 30/11/2012.
• 2012: Good Practice by the Greek Agency for Leonardo Da Vinci: The project "Work Experience in the European Labour Market" was characterized as a Good Practice for its high quality standards by the Greek National Agency for Leonardo Da Vinci. It was included in the Compendium Mobility Best Projects, 2013, published by the Greek Agency for Lifelong Learning Programme/Leonardo Da Vinci.
• 2011: Good Practice"- CEDEFOP Study Visit Group Report: The project "Work Experience in the European Labour Market" was included as a good practice in the Cedefop Study Visit Group Report "Quality in mobility and certificates for better cross-border mobility", Zwolle, Netherlands, 2011.
